This race car running 2.3L fuel injection engine, that was originally from a Ranger, was brought to TW for electric issues. The customer installed the engine but is having difficulty starting the engine.  The crew found the fuel pump wired backwards, but the main issue is trying to bypass PATS, Fords version of the anti-theft system.  The crew at TW will have there work cut out for them on this project.

The owner ended up bring the dash from the Ranger to the shop. The crew at TW figured out that the dedicated key/ignition must communicate directly to the dedicated dash electronics in order for the ECU to start the engine. Since TW figured out the electronic starting issues, the owner wanted to tie up the wiring and put it in wiring loops to help keep the costs down. Good luck on the track... a 2.3L fuel injected engine should be a hard one to beat!
