This car has been brought to TW for continuous upgrades and maintenance. This dedicated track car has undergone a few modifications including a safety cage and harnesses.
The engine is getting a new valve cover seals and it will also be tuned so it passes emissions..
After countless hours on the track running full throttle, the connecting bolt gave way. Here are a few pieces that was picked up off the track!
The engine has been pulled and is ready for inspection.
The rod bolt broke on the engine and nearly cut the bottom half of the block in two.
Wow, there is lots of damage to the engine.
A replacement supercharged 3.2L was found and is currently being prepped and upgraded in order to be installed into the race car. It will get upgraded main and rod bolts, new main bearings and a high flow oil pump.
The cam and clutch are almost ready to install into the replacement engine.
The motor is almost ready to go back in! A few more odds and ends, then we will be ready to put it back in the car, and break it in on the dyno!
