The car was brought to TW for a complete engine overhaul. We will add a turbo, upgraded clutch and swap out the trasmission to a 6 speed. This complete engine with turbo will be managed and controlled with a Haltech Sport 2000 ECU system.
The engine is installed in the car and ready for the dyno.
The turbo is installed and the custom piping is designed, formed and welding into place.
The car is almost finished! The car is getting a little basic tuning and engine break-in on the dyno to setup the car so it drives conservatively . Now the customer will drive the car for 1200 miles to break in the new transmission.
The car is back from the 1200 miles transmission break-in. Now the full throttle performance dyno and tune is in the works.
This great project was bought back to TW for a few minor fixes. The boots on the coils were cracked and the injectors were modified.
Its winter time! The car was originally setup and dyno tuned in the summer time, but its difficult to get a good tune for winter. Since the temp is below freezing now, the crew at TW will setup the car for cold starting and running. Did I mention the car now has 3" exhaust?
