This clean STI was brought to TW to have a roll bar and racing seat installed. The owner was looking for some extra safety for the upcoming hillclimb season. The goal was to have the roll bar removable when the racing season is over, this is definitely easier said than done, particularly with the added challenges of the hatch back, but not impossible.

A little bit of prep and a good size piece of plate that connects the sill structure to the sub frame for the roll bar to sit on. The roll bar is made to sit down in the pocket in the floor but we like to add some reinforcement to that. Also SCCA and other racing organizations require additional reinforcement when a roll bar or cage are added.

More reinforcement plates were put on the inner fender well where the rear tubes connect.

Some shots after paint with roll bar and interior are installed.

Here is the new racing seat ready to be installed. Notice the NHA sticker in the side window.... nhahillclimb.org
