The Lerker, which is best known as a Ford Sierra has been purchased by one of our techs named Dave.  Unfortunately, few people remember the the US counter part that we have here, the Merkur XR4-Ti.

He is super excited about plans he has instore for this car.  Hillclimbs, circle track... just to name a few .

He currently has a stock LS1 and a Jericho transmission for the power house.  He's gone a little crazy by cutting out the firewall and making a well balanced chassis, but he's well on is way.

Notice the roll cage that follows the front of the door support and heads down to the floor.  The wood block holds the upper roll cage in place until the final mounts can be designed and welded into place.

The wood blocks have been removed and the base mounts are starting to be installed and welded into place.   The mounts will be boxed in and welded into place to create a solid mount to the frame.
