The Lerker, which is best known as a Ford Sierra has been purchased by one of our techs named Dave.  Unfortunately, few people remember the the US counter part that we have here, the Merkur XR4-Ti.      

He is super excited about plans he has instore for this car.  Hillclimbs, circle track... just to name a few .      

He currently has a stock LS1 and a Jericho transmission for the power house.  He's gone a little crazy by cutting out the firewall and making a well balanced chassis, but he's well on is way.

The roll cage is almost completed and then all the joints will be completed welded into place.

The old steering column will be removed and extended 4".  It will also be welded to the roll cage for extra support.  Keep in mind, there is still a collapsible tube in the steering shaft just encase its needed for front end collision.

The turbo piping is almost completely tacked in.  Once the design is fitted into place, all the joints will be completed welded.

The Gerico tranny has been installed to prepare for the floor to be finished up.  The tranny still needs the internal gearing installed.  The Sparkco 2-spoke steering wheel has arrived!

The brakes are completed.  With all four rotors replaced, the car will have  Wilwood calipers in the rear and Brembo's for the front.  Who needs brakes though?  Its a race car.
