Another project from a long time customer, this E-mod Speed Fire race car is built with a 12A Mazda Rotary engine along with several other custom bits. Its currently at TW for some new street wheels and tires, also the headlights, brake lights and turn signals need to be reinstalled and wired. The owner wants to be able to drive it on the street without getting hassled to much by the man. They will probably still pull him over just to get a better look at this awesome little car.
The owner of the car also asked the crew at TW to add more protection for the side of the car. As you can see, they welded in new side bars to each side.
As you can see in the picture, the crew at TW is designing the front roll bar to removable for regular street use, but yet easy to install for high climb competition.
The welding and fab crew designed and made new brackets for the new lightweight hood. The picture on the left shows the new mounting brackets that will hold the hood to the side of the car. The picture on the right will show future mounting brackets for the front of the hood. The hood mounts will also allow it to be easily taken off and on to accessthe engine at the race track.
Looks like the brake reservoir had to be moved to accommodate the new light weight carbon fiber hood.
The top bikini bars are being designed and installed. They also need to be removable....!
Notice the removable bikini top roll bar....
